Notice of intent to make a determination

 Glamping Mani-Utenam – Public Comments Invited

2022-03-08 – Indigenous Services Canada and Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions must determine whether the proposed Glamping Mani-Utenam, located in Mani-Utenam is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

A project of the Société de développement économique Uashat mak Mani-Utenam (SDEUM) consisting in the development of a glamping site with six fully equipped, providing great comfort tents for rent. The size of a tent is 16 × 20 feet.

 

A Shaputuan will be erected as a gathering place and as a common kitchen with appliances.

 

Access will be by car via an existing road that will be improved, including culverts.

 

Sewage will be directed to an on-site septic field.
