Notice of Time Limit Resuming

Ottawa — December 8, 2021 — On December 6, 2021, Agnico Eagle Mines Limited (the proponent) provided its response to the Summary of Issues and Detailed Project Description for the Upper Beaver Gold Project to the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (the Agency). The proponent thereby completed the activity for which the time limit suspension was requested on October 28, 2021, and the 180-day time limit has resumed as of December 6, 2021.

The 180-day time limit is the period of time within which the Agency must provide the proponent with a notice of the commencement of the impact assessment, if the Agency decides that an impact assessment of the project is required.
