Notice of Time Limit Suspension with Reasons

Ottawa — October 28, 2021 — On October 25, 2021, the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (the Agency) suspended the 180-day time limit for the Planning Phase under the Impact Assessment Act for the Nisga'a Nation, Rockies LNG LP, and Western LNG LLC's (the proponents) Ksi Lisims LNG - Natural Gas Liquefaction and Marine Terminal Project.

The Agency has taken this action further to a written request from the proponents that the time limit be suspended in order to facilitate alignment with the B.C. environmental assessment process and to provide the Agency with a Detailed Project Description that includes the information prescribed by the Information and Management of Time Limits Regulations.

The Agency will post a notice that the prescribed activities are completed and the 180-day time limit will resume when the Agency accepts the proponents' response to the Joint Summary of Issues and Engagement, and Detailed Project Description.
