Project Summary

The project's purpose is to assess and replace the Whitefish River First Nation's lagoon and septic bed program. The nature of the project is the rehabilitation of existing infrastructure. The proponent has indicated that the project will involve a relocation of existing infrastructure, namely of the septic bed and lagoon, and that the project will minimize potential contamination of surface and ground water. The project does not involve vegetation clearing or works in, over, or within 30 m of a water body.

Scope:

  • Identify and assess septic beds and replace those that have failed with full raised class IV septic beds
  • Decommission existing septage dump pit
  • Design and construct a new facultative lagoon for septage waste treatment
