Beaver Lake Cenovus Housing Initiative – Build Out of 20 Residential Lots, Access Roads, and Water Distribution– Public Comments Invited

June 7, 2021 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Beaver Lake Cenovus Housing Initiative – Build Out of 20 Residential Lots, Access Roads, and Water Distribution on Beaver Lake Cree Nation reserve lands is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

Beaver Lake Cree Nation plans to develop new lots as part of the Cenovus Housing Initiative. The development area will be able to accommodate 20 homes on 30m by 60m lots. As part of this development a new waterline and sewage holding tanks will be installed, and a road and driveways will be constructed.
