Public Comments Invited:
January 1, 2021 – The Fisheries and Oceans Canada must decide whether the proposed Port Hardy CCG SAR – Float Replacement Project, located in Port Hardy, BC is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this decision, Fisheries and Oceans Canada is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public [and may be posted online]. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

Project Summary:
The construction and installation of a new 4.3 m x 31.6 m concrete float in the Port Hardy Harbour.  The work will include: the removal of existing timber pilings and mooring float; modify and relocate the existing timber float and community timber float, including the installation of new still piles; the relocation of existing gangway, and installation of new concrete float (which will be constructed off-site).
