Public Comment Period on Intent to Make a Determination
Full Depth Parking Lot Reconstruction / Repaving at Building P-148

May 7, 2021 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) Real Property Operations proposes to complete full depth reconstruction of the driveway / parking area at the front of building P-148, construct/pave a new parking lot on the East side of P-148, and resurface the play area around P-148 at CFB Borden. The estimated gross area of the paving project is ~2000m2. The project will take place approximately 2.8 km southwest of Angus, Ontario. Construction is anticipated to begin in summer of 2021.
