Notice of intent to make a determination

Stoney Phase 18 Housing Project – Public Comments Invited

March 24, 2021 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Stoney Phase 18 Housing Project located on Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Wesley First Nations reserve lands is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

Stoney Nakoda First Nation plans to construct nine housing units. Three units will be at Bearspaw First Nation, three units at Chiniki First Nation, and three units at Wesley First Nation. Each housing unit will be between 1200 and 1500 square feet in size.
