Public Comment Period on Intent to Make a Determination
Upgrade Main Petroleum Oils and Lubricants (POL) Facility at Garrison Wainwright

March 10, 2021 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

This project involves improvements to the existing Main POL facility at Garrison Wainwright. Construction is proposed for 2021 and 2022. Project activities include:
· Remove and replace existing concrete roadways, curbs, sidewalks and trench drain.
· Replace connection between oil water separators.
· Remove and replace existing fence.
