The Proposed Project

The parking lot area will be cleared of trees and settled with weight for one year prior to active construction. The area of construction will be a 4000 m2 expansion to the existing 14200 m2 parking lot in the Richmond Armoury compound. The paved area will be used to hold military vehicles (green fleet). The vehicle space at the Richmond site is important because other Vancouver area sites have limited capacity to hold large military vehicles.

The project will include the construction of a new 900 m2 maintenance building on the developed area of in the Richmond Armoury compound. This building will be used to shelter and maintain tactical armoured patrol vehicles (TAPV).

There are no disposal plans for this site.
