The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence is proposing to construct a new health care facility at Windsor Park to accommodate the medical and the dental clinics currently located Canadian Forces Base Halifax (Stadacona) and at 12 Wing Shearwater. The facility will also provide accommodations for the regional Canadian Armed Forces Transition Centre. The combined gross space requirement is estimated to be approximately 17,000 m2 distributed over an estimated seven stories. This project will include asphalt parking lots with some local road realignment. Existing utilities will be evaluated for capacity to service the new facility as the project matures but are assumed to be adequate at this stage of project development.
