Reconfigure South Side Entrance at 8 Wing Trenton, Trenton Ontario.

September 1, 2020 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing the reconfiguration and reconstruction of the South Side Entrance, Anson Avenue at Old Highway 2 intersection. This work includes vehicle inspection lay-bys, parking lot reconfiguration, as well as roadway and parking area lighting. This work also includes High Security retractable anti-ram barricades, security gates, security bollards, guard house and associated power communications and lighting requirements. In result of these reconfiguration requirements, vegetation and tree removal along Anson Avenue is required.
