Acadia First Nation Housing Development – Public Comments Invited
July 9, 2020 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed housing development located in Acadia First Nation is likley to cause significant adverse environmental effects.To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project
The housing development consists of eight housing lots and associated infrastructure. The development area is approximately 1.15 hectares.
Activities include:
- Site preparation; vegetation clearing as required.
- excavation and grubbing of work areas,
- construction of road and gravel driveways,
- construction of houses in accordance to current building codes,
- electrical and municipal hookup, street lighting, emergency water services,
- application of topsoil and replanting, as required
- implementation of sediment and erosion control measures
- disposal of waste at an approved facility
