The Proposed Project

Beedie Development in care of Fraser Mills Properties Ltd. proposes to remove approximately 300 creosote treated timber piles from the Fraser River fronting River Front Park in Coquitlam. The piles will be removed from a previous log storage area to make-way for shoreline improvements associated with an upland development. The works are proposed to be conducted by barge with vibratory and cable extraction. Deteriorated piles, that cannot be removed by extraction, are proposed to be cut at the mudline by pile snipper and capped with clean sand to a minimum depth of 30 centimeters. Extracted piles will be disposed of at an appropriate facility.
