Sanitary Lift Station Upgrades at Royal Military College of Canada

May 29, 2020 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The Sanitary Lift Station at RMCC is in need of replacement to ensure continued function, and to improve the safety of workers that maintain the stations, associated pumps and wells. The proposed project involves removal and replacement of the pump station and wet well, associated underground utility infrastructure, along with upgrades to lift station electrical controls at the RMCC Boathouse building located at 20 General Crerar Crescent. The construction work is planned to begin in autumn 2020.
