May 27, 2020 — The B.C. Environmental Assessment Office approved the Initial Project Description for the Castle Project prepared by Teck Coal Limited on April 9, 2020, starting the Early Engagement phase of the provincial process. This document has not been approved by the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada, and is displayed on the Canadian Impact Assessment Registry only to inform the designation request process.
