Public Notice - Public Comments Invited

2020-05-11 – Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada must determine whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

Written comments must be submitted by 2020-06-10 to the contact identified on the project page.

The Proposed Project

WireIE (Canada) Inc. proposes to build a 32metre  self-supporting communications tower to enhance communication to the Canada Border Services Agency office, adjacent to Provincial Highway No. 2 in the RM of Old Post No. 43; West Poplar River Border Crossing, Hwy 2, West Poplar, SK.  The tower will include a 2' parabolic antenna transmitting in the 18GHz frequency band. This new tower may undergo future modifications or the addition/replacement of antennas.
