The Proposed Project

Construction of a heliport to accommodate Air Medic helicopters for the evacuation of members, if necessary.  The project will be carried out on Lot 240 of the Obedjiwan Sawmill and includes the construction of a fenced landing area (120' x 120'), the installation of electrical poles, gas pumps, a SOP FEU building, and an approach and departure area.

Environmental factors that will be considered include the possible impacts of fuel spills related to pumps and fuel tanks on the site as well as noise related to helicopter take-off and landing.
