Saulteaux IR159 Timber Harvest Plan - Public Comments invited

March 30, 2020 - Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Saulteaux IR159 Timber Harvest , located on Saulteaux IR 159EE, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

The project is comprised of the planning, accessing, harvesting, and hauling of timber on the Saulteaux First Nation IR 159. Saskatchewan Forest Vegetation Inventory (SFVI) indicates that from the harvesting of the planned blocks 86-018-002, 86-018-004, and 86-018-005, 592.79 hectares, 59,752.66 cubic meters of hardwood, and 18,207.09 cubic meters of softwood will be realized.
