Notice of intent to make a determination

Atikameksheng Anishnawbek On Reserve New Housing – Public Comments Invited

October 17, 2019 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Atikameksheng Anishnawbek On Reserve New Housing, located in Atikameksheng Anishnawbek First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

Atikameksheng Anishnawbek First Nation is in the process of building three new residential rental units within their community. Three new lots will be cleared and three units of 1200 square feet will be constructed. The homes will be located on lots 8, 19 and 20 of the Hill Street Subdivision. 

Atikameksheng Anishnawbek has previously reviewed this project under their First Nation's Land Management Agreement, and have noted that no significant environmental effects will result from this project.
