BURNCO Aggregate Mine Project — Additional Participant Funding Allocated
November 21, 2017 — The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (the Agency) has allocated $15,568 in additional funds to seven recipients to assist their participation in the environmental assessment of the proposed BURNCO Aggregate Mine Project, located in British Columbia.

The funding was made available through the Agency's Participant Funding Program. It will assist the participation of Indigenous groups in upcoming steps of the environmental assessment, which includes reviewing and providing comments on the Comprehensive Study Report.

The Proposed Project
BURNCO Rock Products Ltd. is proposing the construction and operation of a new sand and gravel mine located on the northwest shore of Howe Sound, approximately 22 kilometres southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. The mine's maximum production capacity would be approximately 1.6 million tonnes of sand and gravel per year, over an expected mine life of about 16 years.
