The Proposed Project

Ontario's Ministry of Transportation (the proponent) in collaboration with Minnesota's Department of Transportation, is proposing the construction, operation, decommissioning and abandonment of a new international bridge. The project would be located approximately 90 kilometres west of Fort Frances, and would cross the Rainy River between Rainy River, Ontario, and Baudette, Minnesota. The new bridge would replace the existing Baudette-Rainy River International Bridge, which would be decommissioned and removed as part of the project.
