The Proposed Project

Pembina NGL Corporation is proposing to construct and operate approximately 36 kilometres of new rail tracks as well as to realign nine kilometres of existing tracks at its Redwater Fractionation and Storage Facility, located near Redwater, Alberta. As proposed, the Redwater Facility Rail Yard Project would include the construction of three stormwater ponds and allow the facility to transload additional products, specifically diesel and biodiesel. The project would increase the existing facility's loading capacity from 184 train cars per day to approximately 260, and the project site would occupy an area of approximately 52 hectares.
