Site C Clean Energy Project – Federal Funding Allocated to Support Aboriginal Participation in Environmental Assessment
OTTAWA, May 6, 2014 – The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency today has allocated $262,522.69 among 26 Aboriginal group applicants to assist their participation in consultation activities related to the environmental assessment of the proposed Site C Clean Energy Project located on the Peace River in north-eastern British Columbia.
This Aboriginal funding is allocated through the Participant Funding Program administered by the Agency and is intended to assist Aboriginal groups in reviewing and commenting on the Joint Review Panel Report and other key documents.
