Cameron Centre 25 Kilovolt Upgrade - Canadian Forces Base Suffield

The Department of National Defence (DND) is to execute a project to upgrade the electrical distribution to meet the operational requirements of Defence Research and Development Canada at the Cameron Centre Training Areas within Canadian Forces Base Suffield Experimental Proving Grounds by providing a greener alternative to existing use of diesel generators. The physical work encompasses installation of an overhead and underground electrical distribution system. Work will include the installation of electrical components and equipment feeding multiple panels within each of the North Area, Central Building Area, West Area and East Area of the Cameron Centre Training Area.

January 25, 2023— The Department of National Defence issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
