The Proposed Project
The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project. Directorate Construction Project Delivery (DCPD) is proposing to construct two new Trainee Quarters at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Borden. The project will provide two accommodation facilities with approximately 692 new bed spaces, associated infrastructure, and administrative support spaces including utilities servicing, and parking spaces for approximately 540 vehicles over an approximate 6.9 ha parcel of land. Construction will consist of installing erosion and sedimentation control measures, site preparation, such as tree clearing and grading, installing buildings and parking lots, as per design requirements, and site restoration. This Project will allow CFB Borden to meet the urgent need for additional accommodation.
