Construct a New Supply Building - 17 Wing, Detachment Dundurn

June 25, 2026 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project. DND intends to construct a new supply building within the developed area of 17 Wing Detachment Dundurn. This project addresses a deficiency in providing supply and logistics support to the Detachment and its supported units. The footprint for the new building is approximately 1600 m² with the surrounding 2500 m² of the building paved.
The Work entails the following:

1. Preparing the ground for construction of building and associated parking structures.
2. Installation of below grade utilities.
3. Construction of structure.
4. Landscaping.
