Canadian Forces Housing Agency New 12-plex Apartments- Canadian Forces Base Kingston

June 20, 2024 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project of four (4) new 12-plex apartment buildings to be constructed at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Kingston. Currently the project Site is vacant and consists of maintained grasses and a few mature trees. The approximate footprint of each of the new buildings is estimated to be 535.5 with 120 parking spaces between the 4 new buildings also being constructed. A new road on the west side of Niagara Park is proposed for access. The new apartment buildings will be connected to site services to be installed prior to their construction.
